MOTORISTS involved in a collision in Cinderford on Wednesday thankfully escaped the incident with 'no serious injuries'.

Police were called at 8.15am on September 20 morning to a two-vehicle collision at Church Road.

A blue Volkswagon Transporter driven by a man from Oxford collided with a white Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 36-year-old woman from Cinderford. The Corsa then collided with a stationery Peugeot 206.

There were no serious injuries but a young girl in the Vauxhall Corsa was taken to Dilke Memorial Hospital to be checked over as a precaution.

The Corsa had damage to its front left headlight and a heavy police and ambulance presence was reported at the scene on Church Road.

The incident did block the road for a while but it cleared by 9.55am.
