A REVIEW of traffic issues along the A48 to Chepstow will not be finished until the end of the year. The Welsh Government's transport department has undertaken a series of studies in the town, which were due to have been completed by the autumn. The report is expected to make recommendations on how to improve road safety and air quality in the Chepstow area. Officers were considering constructing a new bypass into the Forest of Dean, or banning heavy goods vehicles from driving over the Wye Bridge; reviewing current traffic light arrangements at the entrance to the town's major supermarket and changing the layout of High Beech Roundabout.
