VISITORS to Whitemead Forest Park can now enjoy a more luxurious stay after the popular woodland retreat unveiled major upgrades to its glamping pods ahead of the summer season.

Around £95,000 has been invested into refurbishing the site's four Megapod Deluxes and 11 Megapod Premiers, which are tucked away in The Hollow, a picturesque spot beside the trees in the heart of the Forest of Dean.

The Megapod Deluxes have been given a complete makeover, featuring improved ensuite facilities, new flooring, beds, soft furnishings and stylish headboards. Custom-built woodwork, integrated lighting and handy cubby holes around the double beds have also been added to boost comfort and charm.

The renovations were carried out in collaboration with Gloucestershire-based interior design firm Calico Interiors.

The Megapod Premiers, which also sleep up to four, have been repainted and refreshed with new furnishings to bring a modern feel to the glamping village.

Lauren Bynon, revenue and reservations manager at Whitemead Forest Park, said: "Our newly renovated glamping pods offer a luxurious alternative to traditional camping, combining the charm of the great outdoors with the comfort of home.

"With the forest right on your doorstep, all you need to bring are the essentials. They're ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a stylish and memorable getaway."

Each pod comes with an outdoor picnic area and parking space, giving guests the freedom to explore as much or as little as they like.

The upgrades coincide with the launch of Whitemead’s Spring into Summer sale, where guests can save 20% on selected breaks.

As well as the new-look pods, visitors can choose from a variety of other glamping options, including pet-friendly and pet-free pods. The park also offers apartments, bungalows with hot tubs, and log cabins among the trees.

Facilities on site include a heated swimming pool, spa pools, sauna, steam room and gym.
