A DISTRICT councillor believes he has the solution to the major funding crisis that is set to hit the authority’s finances in the coming years.

The council’s Cabinet will be meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to give the 2020/2021 Budget the green light.

But, at the turn of the year, finance chief Cllr Bernie O’Neill was contemplating having to use up almost all of the money they have left in reserve – their ‘rainy day’ pot – to set a legal Budget.
