A motorcyclist was killed at the weekend following a crash near Redmarley.

The crash, involving a Ford Transit van and a Honda motorbike, happened near Bury Court, Bury Mill at approximately 2.45pm on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old man from Swindon, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol but sadly died the same evening.

The next of kin and coroner have been informed.

The driver of the van, an 18-year-old man from Gloucester, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The road was closed while a collision investigation took place and reopened at around 6.15pm.
