MINDLESS vandals have left a pile of rubbish strewn on the side of a beautiful Forest of Dean road for the last two weeks.

Outraged Bream councillor Richard Leppington has called them ‘disgraceful’ and has asked for anyone with information on who has done this to contact him so that they can be prosecuted.

The fly-tipped rubbish includes material such as plasterboards, wood, a mattress and other pieces which have been piled into what resembles the roof of a caravan.

It is laying just off Bream Road, two miles from Lydney, and is surrounded by woodland .

Cllr Leppington, who represents Bream, condemned the actions saying: “This is just utter vandalism and a disgrace.

“It has been there for two weeks now and is going to cost the taxpayer money to clear up as it will have to be done by a specialist contractor through the district council."
