A MAN was stabbed during a robbery at a Chinese restaurant in Lydney yesterday.

Thieves burst in brandishing a knife and snatched a till containing hundreds of pounds from the Great Wall takeaway in Hams Road.

The robbery happened at around 8.40pm on Monday.

During the incident a 26-year-old man received minor stab wounds to both hands.

He was taken to Lydney and District Hospital for treatment.

A 19-year-old man and 15-year-old boy, both from Lydney, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident and are currently being questioned at Gloucester Police Station.
