A MAN was rushed to hospital following a car accident in Gorsley, just yards from a controversial proposed site for holiday caravans.

Forest planners refused permission for a caravan campsite at Hillside Cottage on the Ross Road because of the lack of a safe access.

The injured man sustained whiplash and was taken to Hereford County Hospital last Wednesday.

His white Citroen Berlingo collided with a Blue Mercedes C250 as it was turning right into a drive off the B4221 near Sterrys Lane.
