A MAN has been fined hundreds of pounds for breaking the speed limit on a main road into Coleford last year.

Philip Watkins, 57, of Flaxley Abbey, has been ordered to pay £398 in fines, costs and surcharges for exceeding 40mph in a LandRover on the B4228 Perrygrove Road, Coleford, on August 12 last year.

Cheltenham Magistrates convicted him of the offence and endorsed his driving licence with three penalty points.
