MORE than 2,000 people enjoyed a day of family entertainment, vintage vehicles and community spirit as the annual Highnam Family Fun Day returned to Highnam Court.
Hosted by Gloucestershire Freemasons, the event welcomed members, their families and visitors from across the county for a packed programme of attractions, stalls and activities, while raising thousands of pounds for charities.
Blessed with warm weather, the day featured one of its biggest-ever vintage vehicle displays, with more than 300 classic cars showcased throughout the grounds.
Organisers said the display proved a major attraction, with exhibitors praising the event as one of the best classic car gatherings in the region.
The family-friendly event also included refreshments, games and entertainment, with volunteers working throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Despite a late change to catering arrangements before the event, organisers said visitors were full of praise for the refreshments on offer and thanked everyone who stepped in to help.
Gloucestershire Freemasons also paid tribute to the volunteers, sponsors and supporters whose efforts made the day possible, along with Highnam Court owner Roger Head for once again allowing the grounds to host the event.
The event raised more than £10,000, with proceeds set to support a range of charitable causes across Gloucestershire.
Organisers said the continued success of the event reflected the generosity of those attending and the dedication of everyone involved behind the scenes.
They are already looking ahead to next year's family fun day and are encouraging anyone interested in volunteering to get involved with planning and organising the event.
A spokesperson said the annual gathering continues to be one of the highlights of the Gloucestershire Freemasons calendar, bringing together the local community while raising valuable funds for good causes across the county.
