A HIGH COURT judge has overturned previously approved plans for a new Asda store to be built in Cinderford. Midcounties Co-operative brought the action against Forest of Dean District Council as it believed that allowing Asda to operate from the Steam Mills Road site, which the Co-op stated as being out of town, would "emasculate" the town centre. At Courtroom 15 of the Royal Courts of Justice in London Justice Hickinbottom handed down his judgment on Tuesday.
