A MARRIED couple visiting the area discovered a dead boar with its head severed while out walking near the Christchurch campsite.

Richmond and Maureen Day, from Tamworth, made the grisly discovery during a woodland walk.

The couple train guide dogs and were taking their pups out for a walk before coming across the boar in a ditch.
