THE Forest of Dean drew their Lampard Cup snooker match with Cheltenham 6-6. Jason Cook lost the opening frame of the contest on the black, going down 52-51 to Paul Perrs. He made amends with a 61-26 win over the same opponent.
Jon Coleman lost both frames against Simon Brookes, 5-76 and 30-41. Brookes made a 49 break in the first encounter.
Jamie Edey played Malcolm Bishop, losing 64-26, but taking the second frame 77-10.
Matt James rattled in a 38 break to beat Todd Upton 73-66, but the Cheltenham player took the second frame of their match 63-21. Chris Edey and Colin Cooper also finished level, Edey losing his first match 80-11 but winning the second 70-26. That left Cheltenham 6-4 up with just one match to go. Forest of Dean anchorman Andy Williams proved his worth by outplaying Phil Thorne to level the match scores. Williams won 62-46, then knocked in a 31 break in an 86-36 success.
