HORACE the Dinosaur is now settling into his new home on Walmore Common after undergoing a sex change operation - and now likes to be called Doris.
Horace/Doris who ‘held court’ outside the Greyhound Inn at Pope’s Hill for 20 years, was snapped up by collector Graham Gardiner from the new owners of the pub who are converting it into a private house.
Graham who also has a Tyrannosaurus Rex in another part of the garden has introduced Doris to another of his collections - a selection of exotic headwear from around the World.
So Doris, with a selection of hats to choose from is now embarking on a ‘virtual’ world tour, starting with a Mexican sombrero.
Hasta la vista Doris!
