YORKLEY Football Club – whose pitch was severely damaged by wild boar (as reported in last week's Forester) – have found an alternative temporary home in the village.
Mark Hudson, club chairman, said: "We have found a field opposite the school in Yorkley. Richard Bennett who owns the land has kindly let us put a pitch on it.
"At the moment it's a just a field with grass so we are in the process of getting it ready. It should take a couple of weeks. We have a pitch booked at Forest Leisure in Lydney for this weekend but it's whether or not we can get one for the following weekend. We will just have to see how it goes."
