NICHOLAS Christian Assirati has been elected as councillor for Newnham on Severn Parish Council, following yesterday’s (Thursday, Feb 26) by-election.

Nicholas received 216 votes, defeating Jim Clarkson who received 110 and Garrett Greene who received 83. The 409 votes reflected a 33.6 per cent turnout.
