FED-UP pensioners in Cinderford have begun tending for their sheltered accommodation gardens themselves, rather than wait for the housing association to do the work. Residents of Kensley Vale, which is home to a number of disabled people as well as the elderly, were getting their hands dirty this week, because they were unhappy with the way they had been left by Two Rivers Housing Association's gardeners. Gordon Bluett, who has lived at Kensley Vale for two years, said he was disappointed with the standard of work carried out – so decided to lead a team of people to weed the gardens. "We just want to try and do this because we aren't getting any help," said Mr Bluett.
