FIVE months ago, they were forced to flee their home when it flooded. Last week, Angus Cooper, 96 and his wife Doreen, 89, returned to their Lakeside home in time to celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary. Angus, who is partially sighted, and Dooreen had to evacuate their home last Christmas Eve. Neighbour Joan Davies took them in for a month until they could find rented accommodation. Angus said: "It was the biggest shock anyone can have, to have everything you've worked for, over 90 odd years swept away from you. Every little thing you cherish. If it hadn´t been for Joan I don't know what would have happened to us. Joan was great. She gave her bed up for us."
