THE Forest of Dean District Council praised residents who chose to take part in No Mow May this year.
The No Mow May campaign, run by charity Plantlife, urges people across the country to leave their lawns untouched to help tackle the decline in biodiversity.
The Forest Council has backed this campaign for a number of years, and posted its gratitude to others who did via social media.
An FODDC spokesperson said: “Well done to everyone who took part in No Mow May and let some - or all - of their garden grow to provide valuable support for wildlife and nature.”
Much as it did in 2025, the council encouraged residents to keep up the approach throughout June.
