A VINTAGE tea party in support of Great Oaks Hospice will be held this weekend at Lydney Town Hall.

On Sunday, August 23 between 1pm and 4pm, Lydney Town Hall will host a delightful afternoon of vintage charm, music and refreshments.

Guests can enjoy a traditional cream tea while dancing to a lively selection of Jive, Swing, Lindy Hop and Rock ’n’ Roll, with music provided by Pete Stead DJ. There will also be vintage accessories available to purchase on the day.

Cllr Tasha Saunders, Mayor of Lydney, said: “Lydney Town Hall is absolutely delighted to be hosting what I believe is the 5th or possibly 6th Vintage Tea Dance organised by Great Oaks Hospice. It’s always such a fantastic afternoon, and I personally love seeing everyone arriving in their beautiful vintage outfits and then taking to the dance floor.

“The food is always absolutely delicious, and I also love having a wander around the stalls. There are always some gorgeous vintage-style jewellery, bags and outfits to browse. It really is a lovely afternoon to enjoy some fantastic vintage music, delicious food and dancing. Whether you want to sit back, relax and watch, or get up and join in, everyone is made to feel welcome.

“It’s such a warm, friendly and inclusive event, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to Lydney Town Hall once again.”

Tickets are priced at £5 entry only, or £10 to include a cream tea. Children tickets are £5, while a family ticket is £20, which includes two adults and two children with the cream tea.

Organisers ask you that you book before the day for catering purposes.

All profits from the event will go to Great Oaks Hospice, in support of its vital services.
