HARTPURY University and Hartpury College have formed a new international partnership giving students from Bermuda a route to continue their studies in Gloucestershire.

The agreement with Bermuda College will allow eligible students to begin their higher education on the island before progressing to Hartpury to complete their studies.

Under the new pathway, students can complete the first two years at Bermuda College before potentially progressing into the second year of a three-year Business Administration bachelor’s degree at Hartpury, subject to programme requirements and admissions approval.

The arrangement, described as a “2+2” model, is intended to reduce the overall cost of studying overseas while allowing students more time to prepare for moving to the UK.

Students completing Bermuda College’s Foundation Diploma Programme will also have potential routes into the first year of Hartpury degrees in Sports and Exercise Science, Sports and Exercise Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning and Sports Therapy.

Lyndon Jackson, director of Bermuda College’s Counselling and Career Centre, said: “This is an exciting step because it gives our students a clearer, more affordable pathway into areas where Hartpury has real strength.

“Students can start at Bermuda College, build a strong academic foundation and then transition to the UK with a defined route in front of them.

“That matters for families who are thinking carefully about cost, but it also matters for students who want confidence that their Bermuda College qualification can take them further.”

Hartpury currently has around 4,600 students from more than 60 countries and specialises in subjects including sport, business, agriculture, animal and equine studies, veterinary nursing and biological sciences.

The Gloucestershire institution was also named Specialist University of the Year by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026, while Hartpury College’s academic and curriculum provision is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
