TOBY Dudfield's 91 not out secured a morale-boosting eight wicket win for Redmarley away at Bredon in the Gloucestershire Division of the West of England League.
Redmarley captain James Holland won the toss and put Bredon into bat in a match restricted to 35 overs per side due to rain.
Redmarley held seven catches to limit the home side to 162-7. Holland bowled a good spell of 10-2-30-1 but the real damage was caused by Ollie Norman, who picked up 4-41 from nine overs.
Paul Newbery (1-39) and Stuart Hall were the other wicket takers.
Redmarley made light work of scoring the required runs, thanks to opener Dudfield who smashed eight sixes and six fours in his blistering 73-ball innings.
Stuart Hall (20) and Paul Newbery (31) gave solid support as Redmarley finished the game off in the 29th over with eight wickets in hand.
Redmarley's second XI did not fare so well in the home clash with Bredon, which was also rain affected.
The home side were bowled out for 106 after being put into bat.

Bredon won the game by six wickets despite the best efforts of Steve Phillips (2-30) and Nigel Allen (2-28). Ray Gerken did not take a wicket but only conceded 28 runs in his 10 overs.
