DOTTIE Dee Prosser lost some of her hair and raised more than £1,700 for charity.
The seven-year-old was helped by Paralympics gold medallist Andy Lewis who wielded the scissors for the Big Little Chop.
Dottie’s haircut in aid of the Little Princess Trust was one of a number of events, including a fancy dress competition held at Yorkley Community Centre.
The Little Princess Trust makes wigs for children who have lost their hair because of illness to help restore their confidence.
Dottie had support from family, friends, well-wishers – and Yorkley School’s mascot to keep her company.
The overall figure included more than £500 from the Nag’s Head pub in Yorkley who donated the proceeds from a three-legged race.
After having her hair cut, Dottie was presented with a certificate of achievement from Rachel Love of Forest of Dean Lions which had supported the event.
Dottie’s mum, Emma, said: “We raised an amazing amount of £1709.69.
“Dottie would like to thank everyone, especially Sara Warren at the Nag’s Head pub in Yorkley for donating the money they raised from their three-legged race to Dottie – they donated £532.45.”
