POLICE have confirmed that a dog died following an incident in the Malswick area on Friday, April 25.

Officers from the Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing Team say a 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being the owner of dogs dangerously out of control in a public place.

The arrest came after information was received from the local community and as a result of police enquiries.

Two dogs have been seized and the man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police say they are aware of concerns in the area and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
