THE 2011 Wyedean Forest Rally will be held on Saturday February 12.

Once again, the event will be sponsored by GMF Motor Factors and based from Chepstow Racecourse.

Regulations and entry forms are now available from http://www.wyedeanrally.com">www.wyedeanrally.com

The rally will once again be the opening round for a number of major Championships, including the Silverstone Gold and Silver Star Championships, the MSA English Championship and the Historic Cup.

This year, a local warehouse, close to the racecourse, will be used for scrutineering during the afternoon and evening of Friday February 11.

Competitors will be obliged to travel the 'measured mile' in order to set their trip meters on the way to the premises.

For as long as the rally has been held in Chepstow, scrutineering has been held in a marquee erected specifically for that purpose in front of the grandstand. It goes without saying that, in the middle of February, it can be very cold indeed and the move to a permanent building will not only be welcomed by chief scrutineer John Cooper and his team, but by all the competitors.

Much of this year's route will be familiar to Wyedean regulars, but a number of minor changes to several stages have been planned.

A maximum field of 180 cars can expect 45 competitive miles of unique Forest action.
