A DRYBROOK man who cycled more than 1,200 miles for charity was told by a Russian border guard he 'wouldn't be shot' for taking photos without permission. Forestry Commission ranger Darren Edwards was asked to hand over his documents and delete all the pictures he had taken, by a border guard near Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave north of Poland. Darren raised £900 for Water Aid by cycling across Europe. Four years ago, he rode from Land's End to John O'Groats.
