INFLUENTIAL midfielder Damien Edwards was missing for Lydbrook's trip to Sharpness.
Lydbrook also lost Yusef Mertoglu to injury in the warm-up. Yusef has only just returned from a long lay-off, but is likely to be out for a few more weeks.
The game itself was a scrappy affair with passes going astray from both sides.
Sharpness beat the offside trap to take the lead in the 30th minute.
Mike Etheridge had Lydbrook's best chance of the first-half, but he was denied by the Sharpness keeper when one-on-one.
The game remained disjointed after the interval, but Lydbrook got back into the match just past the hour mark through Matt Creed.
His 25-yard free-kick powered into the net with the Sharks keeper completely beaten.
Substitute Tom Creed entered the fray following an injury to full-back Craig Broadman.
Greg Burford moved to full-back and set up the winner with a surging run and cross that Matt Creed volleyed into the net from 12 yards out.
Lydbrook defended well in the closing minutes to hold on to three valuable points.
