A DRIVER who crashed his car after crossing double white lines to overtake four vehicles has been jailed for 18 months and banned from driving for three years. James Moss, 23, of Springfield Road, Ross-on-Wye, was driving his fiancée, Emma Waite, to Gloucester to see a film. He crashed on the B4221 near the junction with Kilcot Lane in Newent at around 9pm on November 29 last year. He pleaded guilty to causing serious injury to Miss Waite by dangerous driving. He was not insured at the time.
