A 39 year old Lydney man who assaulted a police officer and damaged a police van has been conditionally discharged for six months by Cheltenham Magistrates.
Stuart Guest of Cross Hands, Lydney, pleaded guilty to assaulting Constable Ben Humphries by beating while he was in the execution of his duty and damaging the van, both on 8th April this year in Lydney.
As well as the conditional discharge, Guest was ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer and a victim services surcharge of £22.
