A 50-year-old Littledean man who admitted a drink-driving offence has been been disqualified for 16 months

Shaun Cripwell was also ordered to pay a total of £299 in fines, costs and surcharges.

Cripwell of Oak Way, Littledean, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to driving a Mazda 6 on Abenhall Road, Mitcheldean on February 13 this year with 59micrograms of alcohol on his breath.

The legal limit for driving is 35 micrograms.

The magistrates told him that if he completes a government-approved driving course by January 5 next year he can reduce the disqualification by 121 days.
