A 36-year-old Berry Hill man has been banned from driving for 20 months after he was caught at the wheel of a van with more than two and a half times times the legal level of alcohol on his breath.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Friday, January 28, David Gould of Tudor Walk, admitted driving a Ford Transit at Symonds Yat Rock on Tuesday, December 22 with 91 micrograms of alcohol in his breath. The legal limit is 35.
He was fined £900 and ordered to pay costs and surcharges of £175.
He was disqualified from driving for 20 months but told he can reduce the length of the ban by 20 weeks if he takes a government-approved driving course at his own expense by March 10 next year.
