GARY and Karen Healey-Mariano are refusing to budge from their Lydney home, despite being handed a £600 bill by Two Rivers Housing over unpaid 'bedroom tax'.
The couple are locked in dispute over a room in their home which they believe is not big enough to be called a spare bedroom.
However, Two Rivers is claiming money which equates to more than 31 weeks worth of 'bedroom tax' at around £14.50 a week.
"We don't want to incur court costs," said Karen. "The room would not be big enough for an adult."
