VETERANS and Armed Forces families gathered in Mitcheldean for an event bringing together activities, advice and support.
Forest of Dean District Council helped support the Armed Forces Support Network HIVE event at The Wilderness Centre earlier this month.
The event welcomed both regular attendees and newcomers, giving veterans the chance to meet others from the Armed Forces community while finding out about services available across the district.
Those attending were able to try their hand at activities including archery and shooting, while a range of organisations were on hand to provide support, information and guidance.
The Armed Forces Support Network works with veterans and others connected to the military community, helping people access support and bringing organisations together across the Forest of Dean.
Following the event, Forest of Dean District Council is encouraging people with a connection to the Armed Forces to have their say on how services should be provided in the future.
The council wants to hear from a broad range of people, including those who have served in the Armed Forces, reservists and their families.
Spouses, children and siblings of serving personnel or veterans are also being encouraged to take part, alongside people who care for someone who has served.
Feedback gathered through the council's survey will be used to help shape future services and support available to Armed Forces families throughout the Forest.
A council spokesperson said it had been "fantastic" to see so many people attending the HIVE event and to welcome both familiar faces and those taking part for the first time.
The council added: "Your feedback is valuable and will shape the way that services and support is available to members of the Armed Forces families across the Forest of Dean in the future."
More information about the Armed Forces Support Network and the council's survey is available through Forest of Dean District Council.
