ROBIN Revill, who runs the Crusty Loaf bakery and shop in Coleford, has won a major competition to find the ‘best white loaf in Britain’.

On a whim he entered a couple of loaves in the FoodEx competition at the NEC for the first time and took the top prize.

“I was asked to enter last year but didn’t bother but thought I’d have a go this year and was delighted to win,” he said.

"It was a fantastic result for us. There were thousands of people at the show and hundreds of entries for the competition.”

Robin has run the business for 18 years and has also opened branches in Cinderford and Newent.
