The Midcounties Co-operative looks set to challenge the decision to grant planning permission for a new Asda store in Cinderford.
The Forest of Dean District Council has received a letter from the Co-op outlining their intention to appeal against the Asda ruling.
Last month, the Secretary of State agreed with the decision to grant Asda planning permision to build a 4,645sqm store - following several legal challenges from Midcounties Co-operative.
