CINDERFORD manager Steve Peters was sent to the stands as improving Poole ended Cinderford's Trophy hopes at the first hurdle.

Peters was sent off for swearing – at his own player!

The visitors outplayed Cinderford for most of the match, with a well-organised defence giving Town's attackers little joy.

Poole went in front inside a minute when poor marking allowed Scott Joyce to slot past Ben John.

Poole continued to dominate the remainder of the first half with Hubbard and Preston going close.

Injuries to Warren Archer and Mike Whittington, two key players, did not help Cinderford's cause, and both were replaced by Ashley Malcolm and Dean Lee respectively.

Poole kept their composure and went 2-0 up on 67 minutes through Jacobs.

Four minutes later it was game over, as Dan Cann slotted his side's third goal.
