A 55-year-old Cinderford man caught in possession of crack cocaine has been ordered to pay £239 in fines, costs and surcharges.

Dennis Jones, of Hopewell, Cinderford, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to having 24 grams of the drug in Gloucester on June 26 last year.

The magistrates ordered forfeiture and destruction of the cocaine and fined Jones £120 plus costs of £85 and a £34 victim services surcharge.

He was given until December 22 to pay.
