Painswick v Cinderford St John
PAINSWICK skipper Christian Marsh won the toss and elected to bat, a decision that paid dividends with a winning score.
Following a steady start, Craig Kibble trapped James Cook lbw for 15, then Griffiths was run out for 20.
Marsh joined Neville Talbot at the crease and the pair took the score from 42-2 to 213 with a sparkling stand of 171.
Talbot made 95 from just 68 balls before offering a catch to Eddie Ruck off the bowling of Richard Henry.
Marsh went soon after for 73, also caught by Ruck off Mark Roberts.
Despite a further flurry of wickets from Mark Roberts, who finished with 4-55, Painswick closed on 251-9.
Richard Henry was arguably Cinderford's best bowler with 3-39 from 13 overs.
Cinderford's reply began solidly with a stand of 67 between Nigel Cartwright and Henry.
Cartwright was dismissed by Talbot for 38 but Henry went on to make a valuable 79.
Despite the efforts of Matt Whitney (28) and Chris Jackson (41 not out), the total proved beyond the hosts who closed 37 runs short on 215-5.
