THE FOREST is in danger of becoming 'an isolated island', according to public transport lobbyist Sue Dubois, who is concerned about further cuts to bus services.
Stagecoach West is planning to slash bus routes serving the district due to 'low usage'.
This could mean major changes to the 23 and 24 services from March 30.
In the case of the 24 service, it will no longer call beyond Joy's Green, stopping only at Mitcheldean, Drybrook and Ruardean.
It will stop in Lydbrook just twice a day, on the school run to Lakers School in Five Acres.
