SPEEDING in the Cotswolds has cost a 42-year-old Bream man more than £900 in fines, costs and surcharges, as well as six points on his licence.

Francis Davies of The Breezes, Lydney Road, Bream, admitted at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court texceeding the 70mph limit past the Cowley Police Platform on the A417 on Feb ruaryt this year while at the wheel of a BMW 740D.

He was fined £587 plus a surcharge of £235 and costs of £110, a total of £932.
