WILL Rogers, one of the rising stars of the Forest's rally scene, has landed himself a dream ride on this weekend's Wales Rally GB International.
Will (pictured) is making his World Championship debut on the main international event as co-driver for Becky Kirvan in her Ford Fiesta.
Will is a late replacement for Karen Watts, who pulled out because of injury.
He said: "It's the largest rally in Britain and it's going to be a mega event. It's a dream come true for me as I've been to every Rally GB since I was born.
"You look at the names at the head of the field and it's the same ones you usually watch on TV.
"It's like five or six national rallies rolled into four days. I have been in most of the forests at least twice so I have a good base to work from with the notes during the recce. I hope my experience of the forests will help Becky."
Will was introduced to rallying at a young age by his father.
He competed on car navigational exercises as soon as he was old enough with Ross and District Motor Sports Club, winning the Navigational Championship.
In 2007, at the age of 18, he came fifth in the ASWMC Road Rally Championship, before moving on to stage rallying.
In 2010 he took part in 19 rallies as a co-driver. His best result is second overall on the 2009 Harry Flatters Rally, alongside Terry Brown.
Will is hoping this will be a stepping stone into next year's British Rally Championship, which is where he wants to be in 2012.
