THE BLOCKED culvert that flooded parts of Lydney last winter remains a 'ticking time bomb' according to locals.

Six houses were flooded and elderly residents had to be evacuated from Lakeside Avenue on Christmas Eve due to a nearby culvert being blocked. Some were housed in temporary accommodation.

Speaking at Lydney Town's annual meeting, local resident Gordon Blake raised fresh concerns, saying the District Council 'do not appear to appreciate the seriousness of the situation'.
