WORKERS at Federal Mogul fear deadly asbestos fibres are being spread as an old foundry building is being demolished.

Union convener John Cooke said he had witnessed plumes of dust rising from the building as diggers tore out corrugated sheeting and gutters containing asbestos from the building. He claimed to have footage of a digger dumping the broken sheeting into a skip and compressing it down, breaking it up further.
