AS THE rising cost of living continues to affect many, Age UK Gloucestershire is hosting a series of Community Drop-In sessions across the Forest of Dean throughout May.
These sessions aim to provide essential information, advice, and support to anyone aged 65 and over, as well as their friends and family, with no prior booking required.
The sessions are designed to help locals manage the challenges of the current economic climate, offering practical guidance on everything from managing finances to accessing local services and support.
In Newent, the drop-in sessions will be held at the library every third Monday of the month from 1 PM to 3 PM.
The Victoria Centre in Lydney will offer its drop-in sessions every first Wednesday of the month, starting on May 7, from 10 AM to 11:45 AM.
The Clubhouse in Sling, Coleford will host its sessions every second Wednesday of the month from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, starting on May 14.
In Mitcheldean, residents can attend drop-in sessions every third Wednesday of the month from 11 AM to 1 PM, beginning on May 21, at the community centre.
Finally, Cinderford residents can access the sessions at Ow Bist - Forest Community Space on the first Thursday of each month, including May 1, June 5, and July 3, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
All venues are fully accessible, with features such as wheelchair-friendly entrances, accessible restroom facilities, and parking available for those with additional needs.
These venues have been carefully selected to ensure that everyone, regardless of mobility, can attend and benefit from the sessions.
These drop-in sessions are an invaluable resource for residents looking for help and advice during challenging times.
Age UK Gloucestershire’s team will be on hand to offer support in a friendly, informal setting.
