AS the winter is drawing near and its getting darker, I must mention about the destruction of our park. It's a place that used to be loved by all and a place to walk. Young families and the elderly used to be able to have a stroll around the ponds and fully enjoy themselves. Now, due to the threat of large boar, they are scared and the animals will attack if we pose a threat. They can't be blamed, after all they are looking after their little ones.
Enough is enough. The wild boar have wrecked the whole area and there is nowhere to have a nice walk without having to walk off the paths, because of the mud caused by those animals.
We need an assurance from the Forestry Commission and the council that action will be taken on this.
We all know that there has been a cull in the Forest, but I think it's time that the Forestry Commission came clean on the number of boar culled.
We need urgent action on this.
On another note, roads in the Forest are very dangerous due to the Boar. Most road verges in the Forest are covered in mud. To Gloucestershire Highways Department, please clean all roads in the Forest, it's your department.
