FOREST of Dean police seized a vehicle, after checks found it to be wrongly SORNed off-road.

The Forest South Neighbourhood Policing Team were advised of a vehicle that had been abandoned on the public highway on Bixhead Walk in Broadwell.

Under current regulations, a vehicle that has been declared SORN must be kept off the public highway, typically on private land or in a garage.

Last year, Forest police seized vehicles through ongoing efforts to tackle abandoned and untaxed cars in the Forest of Dean, under Operation GIG.
