POLICE have released images of two men they would like to identify following damage to three CCTV cameras in Newent.

Officers from the Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating after the cameras were vandalised between Wednesday, July 22 and Friday, July 24.

The damaged cameras were located at the junction of Onslow Road, at the top of Bury Bar Lane and in Market Square.

Police estimate it will cost around £2,500 to repair the three cameras.

A number of enquiries have already been carried out and officers have now issued images of two people they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: "We've issued images of two people we would like to speak to in connection with damage to CCTV cameras in Newent last week.

"Three CCTV cameras in the town were smashed between Wednesday 22 and Friday 24 July.

"It is estimated that it will cost a total of £2,500 to repair the cameras."
