THE FOREST Exchange is appealing for volunteers to help run its free community events across the Forest of Dean.

The organisation, which hosts events aimed at reducing waste and encouraging reuse, is looking for people who can spare time to support its activities in a variety of practical roles.

Volunteers are being sought to help with lifting boxes, loading vehicles, setting up venues, serving refreshments and providing general support during events.

Forest Exchange has built a reputation for giving unwanted household items a new lease of life by making them available to local residents free of charge, helping to reduce waste while supporting those who may need essential items.

The events are open to everyone and are designed not only to promote sustainability but also to bring communities together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

An appeal shared by Forest Voluntary Action Forum (FVAF) said the group is looking for "friendly, enthusiastic volunteers" who would like to make a positive difference in their local community.
