POLICE in the Forest of Dean celebrated a successful set of shifts on Wednesday, October 28, after making a series of arrests.

Officers arrested three people in connection with failing to stop and possession with intent to supply, while another man was arrested for outstanding breaches of bail, and several theft offences.

Police also located and recovered two stolen vehicles.

A Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: “Another productive set of shifts for the Forest North Neighbourhood Policing Team, with officers taking proactive action to tackle crime, pursue offenders and keep our communities safe.

“Through proactive patrols, targeted activity and ongoing investigations, we continue to take action against those involved in criminality and work to protect our local communities.

“Proactive policing is about being visible, taking action and following things through. We’ll continue to focus on the issues that matter to our communities and work hard to make the Forest a safer place for everyone.”

The news comes following the recent report that police had seized bikes during patrols which observed anti-social riding.
