A CINDERFORD man has been arrested following a raid by armed police on Whimsey Industrial Estate earlier today.

The 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence after a search warrant was executed at the industrial site in the town this morning. Police were acting on information when carrying out the warrant and found Winchester rifle rounds at the scene. He is currently in police custody.

An item modified to be used as a firearm was seized from the premises.
